This recent film project, ZELIMO, is a low budget indie film set in the 50s about a young boy who
escapes from Russia with his family and settles in New York City and the
Catskills. It's not truly a horror film, but has elements of that,
including some very intense and surrealistic scenes, which I scored
accordingly. Because of the location and ethnicity of the story and characters, much of the score and source music is modal and stylistically Russian - not what I usually do, but appropriate for this film. Zelimo is scheduled for DVD and some theatrical release sometime in the winter of 2006. |
