10/14 Teatro Astra, Schio. Early start on the trip today.
I'm still a little jetlagged, so I'm moving slow these days. Schio
is a medium sized working town, within striking distance of Venice and
Verona. We were told that the local promoters were going to set up
lunch for us. That turned out to be a wonderful dinner (lunch)
party at a private home, catered by an excellent local restaurant.
We got to meet and hang out with our hosts. Among the printed
material around town was a booklet with a page devoted to each of us in
the band. On my page, they had grabbed the photo of me at the
Hammond from my Home Page here, recording at Sonart Studio - a shot that
is heavily compressed for the internet. I'm amazed at how good
they got it to look. We were told that nothing much happens in
Schio, so the promoters "made it happen". The concert sold out way
in advance. They tried to hold a few tickets for the door, but we
were told that close to a hundred people were turned away. They
wanted to continue the party after the show, but we had to pass.
We were beat from a long day, and we're looking at a worse one tomorrow,
starting at 7:00am in the van after 3 hours sleep. You can see why
the occasional great meal stands out in our memory.

Very enthusiastic crowd! |

Our Italian tour promoter, Marco Parisi, with a tour poster.
Most of the shows have been sold out. Pretty cool! |

I was sure this was going to be a money shot
of Jerry. He's
in there someplace. |
